Meet Our Team
Ebony Evans, LPC-S, NCC, M.Ed
Founder and Licensed Clinical Therapist
I'm Ebony Evans, and I'm proud to call New Orleans my hometown. In 2011, I earned my Master's in Counseling Education from the University of New Orleans and, in the same year, achieved the title of National Certified Counselor.
It wasn't until October 2016, after completing the necessary fieldwork and required hours, that I proudly obtained my license as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana. Alongside my counseling practice, I hold the LPC Board-approved supervisor credentials, allowing me to guide and mentor provisional counselors on their journey into the counseling profession.
In 2017, I made a significant decision to open the doors to Blossoming Minds, my platform for providing professional mental health counseling services. I'm deeply committed to increasing awareness and accessibility to therapy in our community. As a testament to my dedication, I am an active member of the Louisiana Counseling Association, the American Counseling Association, and The Krewe of Evexia, the Wellness Crew.
In 2018, I played a vital role in planning the Black Women and Wellness Conference of New Orleans, stepping up in various capacities to support this important event.
Now, a bit more about me: When I'm not busy with my work, I channel my energy into personal health goals aimed at living a healthier life. This includes activities like meal prepping, researching food ingredients, and engaging in regular exercise. My absolute favorite pastime is exercise – I make it a point to visit the gym and parks as part of my weekly routine.
In addition to my passion for fitness, I'm a fan of movies on Netflix and treasure the moments spent with family and friends. I'm known as a social butterfly who adores music and dancing. I conscientiously plan my activities within my schedule because these are my self-care routines, helping me maintain a balanced and fulfilling life.
Stacy Lewis-goins, PLPC, NCC, MS
Mental Health Clinician
Hi I’m Stacy, a native New Orleanian and graduate of Loyola University Mental Health counseling program, I am a National Certified Counselor and a PLPC with a lifelong passion for helping individuals as they become the best version of themselves.
My goal is to collaborate with you on your journey in a compassionate non-judgmental partnership to help you achieve your goals through encouragement and empowerment as you edit and rewrite your narrative.
My areas of focus and clinical training include anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, relationship and other interpersonal conflicts, identity development and acceptance, grief, life transitions, social concerns, trauma including childhood and racial trauma. I believe therapy should focus on the entire individual including their roles in their family as they read, edit and write their book of life. I work with individuals, families and couples who want to improve their quality of life and their relationship with others. I specialize in working with community activists, frontline workers in the education and health care, the BIPOC and LGBTQ communities.
My treatment style is creative, insightful, warm, and empathetic. I want to help you reach your goals, allowing a platform for you to feel understood, and to (re)discover your personal strengths.
My approach includes conceptualizing tailored personal enrichment exercises that enhance your unique gifts and personality while including your life circumstances as we utilize talk therapy to empower you to promote growth and healing. I believe that achieving change in therapy relies on a relationship built on collaboration, trust and respect by providing my clients a safe catalyst for change as they journey to become their best authentic selves.

In our offices, you can let it all out.
Be disheveled and share your true thoughts and feelings. Grab a bottle of water, take a mint, and pick-up a Kleenex if you need one.
It’s a non-judgmental space. There’s no need to prove you have it altogether. We are here to focus on knowing it’s okay to not be perfect. You will ultimately choose to have peace over worry.
With the confidential space, use this time to vent about Susan who wants you to do all her work.
Talk about your boss who is barely qualified for the position. Scream how no one in the family does chores around the house.
It’s all good. Now that you have that out, let’s talk about how you can change your chaos into peace.
Listening is key!
For many years while in college, I worked in the corporate leadership field. When I entered graduate school for counseling, I found myself using in my workplace the counseling techniques learned in school.
As I supervised employees, I engaged in listening, used empathy, and motivated them to expand on their options while taking control of their life.
I remembered the follow-up questions and progress that came along with daily job duties. I was the only supervisor having this type of relationship with employees. My director at the time called me into his office and asked if I noticed what was different about my interactions with employees. I didn’t know the answer.
He replied, “You listen. You listen to everyone and then encourage them to decide on the best option.”
Bad days will happen.
I encourage people to become aware of what’s going on in their life, what’s causing the anxiety, what are the triggers, and how can we work to decrease the anxiety symptoms.
If childhood experiences come up, we will dive into it and allow it to come to life. Childhood is not the main focus, but upbringing and environment do have an effect on our current life.
Bad days will happen; it’s how we deal with them that makes the difference. If you feel you are having increased anxiety as you try to be a superhero for everyone else, give me a call today.
Let’s start blossoming into a healthier you.
