Individual Therapy

Therapy is not as daunting as you expect.

Receiving therapy can be awkward for individuals that are not familiar with the experience.

Most clients say that they are new to this and don’t know what to expect.

Well, let us help you out with some information.

We begin by building rapport.

In therapy, you will have a 50-60-minute, in-office session. The first two sessions are called intake sessions. During the intake session, we will ask you many questions about yourself, your family, and friends to paint a better perspective.

The focus of the intake session is to start building rapport with you. Building rapport consists of me asking those detail questions, and you allowing us to take a glimpse through the window of your life.

Each session is highly confidential and non-judgmental. By the third session, we will start working on your specific goals that you have for therapy.

Establishing goals is the first step.

Once you decide on your realistic goals, as your therapist, we will encourage and motivate you to accomplish them.

We will begin to focus on removing faulty thoughts, challenge to reframe negative views, and acknowledge inferior feelings.

Unbroken negative thoughts about yourself increase anxiety; and because our automatic thoughts seem very reasonable, we listen to them.
