Our Philosophy
Our goal as a supervisor is to foster the supervisee’s professional development by providing support, educating, and ensuring client welfare.
Supervision is offered for Provisional Licensed Professional Counselors.
Clinical Supervision is offered to PLPCs working toward their 100 clock hours to receive licensure.
The supervision process assists the supervisee in developing therapeutic and professional competence.
Clinical supervision will be offered from four different structures of sessions, including: individual, group, online, and tape review.
Administrative supervision is offered for students.
Administrative Supervision is available to graduate students in practicum or internship.
Students are offered a volunteer position to work with clients and complete required forms in a private practice facility to obtain the hours required for their school’s curriculum.
Students will have the opportunity to experience the counseling field while under direct supervision.
Students will be given weekly supervision, and school documents/forms will be completed as part of the process.
Interview session is required.
Prior to starting supervision, the supervisee must attend an interview session.
The interview session is held to benefit the supervisor and the supervisee. It is used to discuss expectations of both parties, as well as to see if we are a good fit.
All ethical guidelines will be followed during clinical supervision, including ACA code, LPC rules in Louisiana, and NBCC.
The supervision process extends over time, so both parties will benefit from being comfortable.
